2021 Chinese Valentine's Day is on Saturday, August 14, 2021. Chinese Valentine's Day is on the 7th day of the 7th lunar month in the Chinese calendar. Therefore, it is also called the Chinese Double Seven Festival. The formal name in Chinese is called Qi-Xi festival.  Qi means seven; Xi means night.  Another name used in Chinese history is The Daughter's Festival, which is the day for unmarried young girls looking for love.

A love story for this day is about the 7th daughter of Emperor of Heaven and an orphaned cowherd. In the ending, the Emperor separated them. The 7th princess was sent to the star Vega and the cowherd moved to the star Altair. In China, Vega is called the star of the Weaving Maid; Altair is the star of the Cowherd...
